Over 58 years entertaining audiences at hundreds of Dances,Concerts, Festivals and Jamborees.
When I was about 12 years old,my father gave me and my brother each a calf to raise. When I was 16 we sold it and with the money I got my first guitar and amplifier.A Harmony arched top electric from T.Eaton Co.In 1952 I started playing guitar in an old-time dance band in the Windsor area of Nova Scotia, Canada. Then in 1956 I started playing fiddle in a country music group and for a year or so played in both bands, sometimes on the same night. Eventually I settled on the fiddle, playing in the country band "The Acadians"all through the 50's and 60's.In the early '70s I formed my own band "The Novas" doing country-rock at various clubs and bars(Playing mostly lead guitar)When two of the band members had to quit because of the smoke in the clubs,I joined with four other musicians to form "Stage 5" and continued on with them until 1982 when I got tired of the bar scene.
I then got more serious with the fiddle and started entering fiddling contests, winning a few and finishing well in others.I also started on my Recording career in 1982,
recorded "Swingin' Fiddles"with two fiddler friends Bill Guest and Ivan Hicks. We did another called "Swingin' Fiddles in Nashville"in 1995 with two of the world's great fiddlers,Buddy Spicher and Vassar Clements doing a guest appearance.(These are still available on Cassette and CD)
In the late 80s I started releasing my own recordings under my own label "K&B Productions".
My wife and I have our own studio where I record all my own projects plus some for other artists.
Over the years I played in several dance bands, show bands and bluegrass bands as well as doing session work on other artist's recordings. For the past 15 years or so I teach music(fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bass, rythym piano)in the fall and spring, play concerts as well as hire out if someone needs a musician for a specific job.
We now spend the winters in southern Texas, where I entertain at some of the many RV parks in the Rio Grande Valley.
I have been releasing a new recording each year and last fall I released a new Cd titled "Live in Texas"...I also have a DVD video of some of my performances from 1983 to 2007..
Be sure to check my Recordings, etc. page.

                                      SARAH GETTO SHOW

                                         SUNDAY FEB. 12TH.   7:00 P:M

Sarah Michelle Getto was born blind and with a severe cleft palate. She graduated “summa cum laude” in 2007 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in music education.

Sarah’s dream is to teach music at the elementary level. She’s also interested in becoming a Music Therapist. Sarah was inspired by music educators her entire life and wants to pass on some of that inspiration to her students one day. Sarah began teaching herself to play the piano at age 3 and the violin at 10. She also plays the guitar, bass and the autoharp. She started composing music in her early teens. Sarah writes music in many styles including Country, Pop, Adult Contemporary, Classical and Christian. She also enjoys composing Instrumental Sound Tracks. She does all of her recording in her own studio.

Sarah was mainstreamed through Norman Public Schools in Oklahoma, where she learned Braille. During her early education, she developed a love of music of all types. In high school, she sang in the choir and played violin in the orchestra. At night she would write songs, performing them as often as she could. Sarah graduated from high school with a 4.0 grade point average and nearly maintained that with the exception of a couple of “B’s” throughout college. As a freshman at SOSU, she was introduced to opera.

Sarah placed First in the State, at the National Association of Teachers of Singers (NATS) competition, a remarkable accomplishment and a credit to her vocal coach. Additional musical highlights have been performing with the Oakridge Boys for an audience of 30,000 and placing 3rd in the 2006 Billboard Magazine World Songwriting Competition.

Since graduating from college, Sarah has performed all across the country at Music Shows, Conventions, RV Resorts, Rallys, and Samborees. Sarah is an avid RV owner herself and has traveled over 50,000 miles during the last two years, entertaining tens of thousands of recreational vehicle enthusiasts in 26 states. Her show features music originally recorded by Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, The Supremes, Captain and Tennille, Alison Krauss, and many other Pop, Country and Gospel performers.

Sarah also enjoys performing and recording Christmas music, producing the CDs herself. On her recordings, she plays and sings all of the instrument and vocal parts. Sarah performs several holiday concerts each year that in addition to the warm rich stereo sound tracks and vocals, include elaborate stage lighting and special effects. Sarah is inspiring to audiences of all ages.
